The lexus has Nav, DVD, and etc. while Explorer is just basic. I have 3 kids and I need the the third throw seats. I am looking at keeping it for at least 5 years. What do you guys think?

Answer
That decision depends on your goals . The $ 3000 difference may not seem like much but here is the real truth . If the 7 year old body style Lexus fails mechanically for whatever reason it will cost you $ 1000s to repair . However , the brand new Explorer has all the safety features necessary to protect your 3 children and is under full warranty for 5 years . By the way 5 years from now the Explorer will be 5 years old and the Lexus will be 12 years old. No one wants a 12 year old Lexus . Everyone and their brother wants a 5 year old Utility and will probably pay $ 19995 so your total cost for 5 years ownership is only $ 10,000 . Be smart , you are not impressing anyone with a seven year old luxury car . In addition financing a 7 year old vehicle is a lot more interest than a 0 % loan on the Explorer

Which of these cars would you buy?

Dan

I have yet to drive Chevy, Buick, Nissan, Mazda, Volkswagen and luxury cars but these are the cars I've driven. Please tell me your opinions on these cars and if you were to buy amy of these what would it be and why?

Honda Civic
Honda Accord
Honda CR-V
Toyota Corolla
Ford Explorer
Subaru Outback
Hyundai Sonata
Chrysler Town and Country

Personally, I like the Accord and Outback the best.

Answer
The Chrysler Town & Country. My family owns a 2013 Town & Country Touring and It's great. Chrysler make rear DVD standard, power doors and lifgate standard, and even rear back up camera standard. It's a pretty pretty classic minivan and just well built. The starting price is 29,000 for the Touring, 31-37,000 for the Touring-L, and 40,000 for the Limited. You should get the Limited because It comes standard with a Safety Tec Package with back up camera, sensors, Blind Spot Monitoring, rear cross path detection, and I believe It standard with Soundproof windows. It's the top of the line model, and It has a good quiet engine. It does. Bellieve me. If you have children and your looking for a nice minivan, go with the Town & Country Limited. It also is standard with three DVD's. One in the front row, one in the second row, and a blu- Ray DVD system in the third row. It also standard with push button/remote start. The Touring-L also has the same things, but some stuff don't come in It. You would have to get a fully loaded Touring -L. Find It actually. We are actually trying to re-fiance the minivan for the Limited, but that's for 2014. Hopefully It will work.
