I'm looking for a sports car with good fuel mileage?

Wes

I'm getting ready to make long 4-5 hour trips once or twice a week. I am trying to find a car that is fun to drive and will make these trips without having to stop mid way every time. I was looking into the STI but I'm more of a truck guy so i'm not real familiar with cars. I need some help. Thanks!

Luxury cars that dont require premium gas?

Anthony

I have about 13500-14000 to spend and im wondering what luxury cars don't require premium. Cars like Mercedes, Cadillac, bmw, audi, infiniti, etc. If you maybe know a specific model or something that runs on regular, please inform me, many thanks! God bless.

Answer
Buying premium gas is like taking vitamins, you can't always feel the difference and yet you know it's the right thing to do. But as gas prices climb, paying the extra dime per gallon for premium is like adding insult to injury. Eventually, the thought is bound to jump into your head.... "Do I really need to pop for premium?" The key is to figure out whether premium gasoline is "required" or "recommended." If it is recommended then a driver could opt to use a lower grade of gas, if they were willing to accept slightly reduced performance and fuel economy. Most if not all luxury cars require premium gas. Luxury manufacturers like Audi, Lexus, BMW, Infiniti & Mercedes Benz require the highest octane possible for optimum performance. Most of these cars are luxury performance vehicles and they need to be taken care of properly. But not all of them do, for example the 2008 + Mercedes Benz C300 is designed as a flexible fuel vehicle. However that is not to say that every person who owns a luxury car uses Premium gas cause quite frankly I know a lot of people who drive a luxury car that requires premium gas and instead they use Mid Grade fuel. I have used Mid grade in my BMW at times and the car runs great!! However I would not go as far as putting regular gas in a luxury sports car. Mid Grade wont affect your car in any negative way from my experience, if anything the difference will be minimal or even unnoticeable but Premium fuel without a doubt is cleaner and allows the vehicle to operate as designed not to mention much smoother and it will consume fuel more efficiently. Adding regular fuel to a car that requires premium fuel will have consequences such as the knocking of the engine, poor fuel economy, throttle lag, decrease in horsepower and over all a decrease in performance. Engine problems are costly and far outweigh the small savings at the pump offered by regular gasoline.

However to directly answer your question, some cars that can run on regular unleaded fuel or are flexible on fuel consumption are the following vehicles:

2009 Lincoln MKS:
The 2009 model of Lincoln MKS, a full-size luxury sedan by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company, runs on regular unleaded fuel.

Cadillac CTS:
A mid-sized luxury car, the Cadillac CTS is manufactured by General Motors under its Cadillac marque. It was designed to run on regular unleaded fuel.

Mercedes Benz C-Class (C300) Luxury Sedan:
Beginning with the 2008 model, the C-Class C300 Luxury Sedan by Mercedes-Benz was designed as a flexible fuel vehicle with a multi-point injection fuel system. Thus, it does not use premium fuel but the cheaper regular unleaded gasoline incorporated with ethanol.

Are there any luxury cars that do no use premium gas?

mulvisaur

Please dont answer me with "honda civic" or anything of that sort. I am strictly looking for a luxury style car.

Answer
No car is designed to run on premium gas. Its a law the manufacturer cant even recomend it. In reality the few benifits like higer octane for more horsepower are not worth the extra $$ The engine and the computer are timmed for regular pump gas and thats all that should be used. Unless your reffering to some exotic forien car like lamborgeine or what ever. then you can afford the gas.

Car help! What car should i get?

*l*

Sent this ?'s before but im stuck. I either want a BMW 3si or a tuner(supra most likley). What do you think tuner or lugsery? And is the BMW expensive to fix if it brakes? I have $15600

The raven do not answer this ?'s and write chevy. You do that to all the topics and all you want is the points GTFO

Answer
Luxury*

First of all, Supra's are awful choices, they are great if you want to have a car you'll constantly be working on and spending all your money on parts and repair, they're only fun to own as a weekend car/build car. BMW 3 series isn't the way to go either, unless it's a 323 or 325, it's going to be pretty costly to maintain.

I would recommend a Nissan 350Z, Mustang GT, Lexus IS, Acura TSX or TL if you can find one, Nissan 240SX, Pontiac GTO, all of these cars you can pick up for about 15k with anywhere from 40-60k miles on it.

Car Warranty when bought car? Not informed or told..?

Danielle

I bought a car in January of 2011 for 15,000 it had 42,000 miles. Now my problem is that the dealer never told me anything about a factory warranty and tried to have me buy their warranty which I did not. This past August and September of 2012 I kept getting papers in the mail saying my warranty was expired (they weren't from the dealer) I think the dmv? I thought it was junk mail or something...now its October and come to find out the warranty renewal papers I was getting in the mail were not spam or junk mail. I somehow had a factory warranty.. I've looked front to back in all my paper work and nothing is said about the factory warranty what so ever. My question is now shouldn't the dealer have informed me or let me know that there was a factory warranty on the car when I purchased it. The warranty is now expired so can I renew it? I live in NY State if that matters any.
It's an 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. I called Chrysler today they said it was for the powertrain? warranty. But I do have an extended emissions warranty left till 80,000 miles or 15 months which ever comes first is what the lady told me. I just don't understand how the dealer doesn't have to inform me that the car has a warranty on it when I bought it, but yet kept trying to get me to buy there warranty without ever mentioning the factory warranty that was already with it.

Answer
What kind of car is this?
Many factory warranties end @ 3 years or 36K miles.
Some luxury brands offer a 4-5 years or 50K miles.
And Kia, Hyundai and Mitsubishi offer a 5 year, 60K miles.

It's really your job as a consumer to know whether a warranty applies and, if you don't know, ask the questions that pertain to your personal interests.

The mail you keep getting is from a 3rd party warranty company that partners with the dealer for everyone that buys a car. They pay a little money to the dealer for a sales lead and then flood their potential consumers with junk mail.

You cannot renew a factory warranty. They expire. You can look into buying an extened warranty, but you need to know that it's going to cost you upwards of $2K (or more depending on the car) and it may not cover everything you would expect it to. You have to read it carefully to determine their loopholes.

The fact is that many 3rd party warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. If they were paying out claims all of the time and if it were good for the consumer, then they wouldn't be in business.
You are much better off saving your $2K you would have spend on a warranty and paying for basic maintenance and repairs over the next 2-4 years.

Who thinks of names for car models?

Sara H

I've seen some pretty strange car model names, and I'm wondering if they have some kind of meaning, are they latin, or were they just cool-sounding words? Who thinks of these things and how does the approval process go? Why do they give the cars these weird names?

Answer
most cars have it's own reasons for it's name,an inspiration to its design, a significant word that helps describe it or a Code that means something to the factory

-Farrari Enzo-
This scaled down version of god was not made or designed by Enzo Farrari(founder), it was just so perfectly designed that there were no other name that would suit this Machine, other than the man who founded the legendary company.

-Lamborghini Murcielago-
Murciélago was a Navarra fighting bull known for having survived 28 sword strokes in an October 5, 1879 fight against Rafael "El Lagartijo" Molina Sanchez, at the Coso de los califas bullring in Córdoba, Spain.Italian automaker Lamborghini named one of its supercars "Murciélago", as part of the company's tradition of naming its cars for Miura bulls and other bullfighting-related terms. "Murciélago" means bat in Spanish.

-Bugatti Veyron-
The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is the most recent version of a mid-engined full-sized grand tourer developed by the German car-manufacturer Volkswagen and produced by the Volkswagen-brand Bugatti Automobiles SAS at their headquarters in Château St. Jean in Molsheim (Alsace, France), and whose production and development is often credited to Ferdinand Karl Piech. It is named after French racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti company. It was named "Car Of The Decade" by the BBC television programme Top Gear.

Most japanese companies used a form of Latin to name their cars

Supra=Latin for Superior, this was toyotas top end sports car, figure it out.

-Nissan-

Maxima= plural of Maximum, Nissan gave it this name becuase this was meant to be the best family car money could buy.

Sunny(sentra)= bright and pleasant; promoting a feeling of cheer

-Honda-

To "Spammer"...Why is Lexus your FAVORITE car?...and why do you spend so much time in the Lexus Area?

EL "W"

Lexus is a well Made car and the leading Luxury vehicle in the US for the last 9 years running. according to "spammer" They are Re Badged Toyotas because that is the parent company, He is Ignorant and if his theory held true then..

If you Drove an Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, or Porsche, You would be Driving a... VOLKSWAGEN. so enjoy your V-Dub Gallardo

If you Drove a Jaguar, Landrover or Volvo, you would be driving a...FORD. Tell THAT to the guy that payed $115,000 for a Supercharged Range Rover.

All of you dodge Neon guys can hold your heads high because if you had one between 1999-2007 Guess what you were driving?... A Brand New Mercedes Benz!!

If you Are driving a Dodge Charger your Suspension actually came from the Mercedes E Class , and The Pacifica takes its suspension from the E Class as well. The Crossfire is a Rebadged SLK.

There are no BAD cars in the Luxury Segment. Just Different ones. I sell Lexus But I've owned BMW's and Mercedes in the Past.

Answer
At work we were debating that people marry brands like been fanatics of Sports Teams and such. We search around the web and end up with the Urban Dictionary. The word Lexsucks is there, so we found it quiet funny and we gave it a try. So we picked on Lexsucks.

Part of the debate was that people does not realize that technology comes from all over the places and is applied to every vehicle in the market and cars are no more that just Products. How the physiological impact of just pure image versus what are you really buying. For example, self parking came in 1992 on a VW Concept Vehicle called Futura, Toyota was selling a Prius with that type of technology in England back in 2003. So is not really new this around. Is true, a lot of Chryslers has DB components on them and people says, that Chrysler is a bad car, DB no.

Also, how people forget easy the stuff from the past. The Oldsmobile Aerotech made big news, broke many speed records between 1987-92. The engine was a 4 Cly called the Quad4. For people that knows cars and history of them, it resemblance an Offenhauser Formula engine. Pretty advance for its time. Now its later reincarnation is the Ecotech on the Cobalt SS it will have VVT (that sounds like Toyota?). Still the same Quad4 but with changes and added technology in GM Delta Platform that was designed in Germany (sounds Autobahn build?). But since is badge as Chevrolet people thinks is crap. Any domestic car people says it sucks, well Honda and Toyota, Hyundai has plants here and they are build here, so I guess they are domestics too? No wonder Toyota is in NASCAR now, duh !

Ford had on the Taurus SHO a set of intake and heads build by Yamaha, impressive sedan. I raced one with a 91 Camaro RS that I was driving, no the top of the line (just a 305), sure hung with me, did not got me but it was right just next to my quarter panel.

Another good example is the Toyota Matrix and rebadge as Pontiac Vibe with different body panels and cosmetics. I heard many times over that Pontiac Vibe sucks and do not dare to compare it with a Toyota Matrix... is quiet amusing.

Is all based about presentation and how you target your audience. A lot of people wait and eat the latest Car and Driver / Motor Trend latest reviews. I used to do that until I started learning that components that make every car comes from so many places in the world see what are the intentions of the manufacturers, how is designed, where all came from, what technologies are involved, and the best, I test drive it and I make the choice, nobody chooses for me. There is a saying among techs "Use the right tool for the right job" Most people do not use the full potential of their vehicle, but one thing is true, they abuse the living hell of them.

I have been traveling a lot, from Korea to Japan, Spain, Germany even Kenya. Seen the world pretty good. I need to go to Aussie land... Will love to drive a Holden just to add it to my list of cars. Oh wait ! The Sigma platform is the one in the Caddy??? I guess I do not have to flight to down under. One thing is true, the Autobahn does not have a speed limit, but has a recommended limit of 80MPH / 130KPH. We sustained 100MPH / 160MPH for about 10 mins before we had to slow down.

Like this ( see link below ) sure they had a lot of room on this one. Look at the trucks on the right side, the Autobahn is not all 3 or 4 lanes, is also 2 lanes and is dangerous to drive with all you can get out of your car. Not because your car can not handle it, is other cars that are going at 80MPH. The Autobahn is pretty congested too.

BWM HQs has a nice building in München also the DB dealer over there is awesome it looks like glass matchbox set. Multifloors with these windows that displays all their cars. Never seen a dealer that way.

Anyway, we had good laughs at work with Big Carp and Mr Sergei (BTW, where is he? Or is a rebadge Big Carp?). One piece of advice, who angers you, owns you.

And yes, I choose to drive an 03 Chevy, so far is a well maintain, paid off, trouble free car. Drove a 94 Grand Prix for 160,000 trouble free and just got rid of it or lets say, gave it away to a relative as a second car.

What we came to conclusion is that people do Marry Brands, like to take sides even if is a rebadge product and they do not know what is made of. That goes with appliances, computers, etc... Most people that drive a Lexus (for example) does not know for sure what they buy, just wants an image. Some to say I can afford this and you do not. Vanity is the biggest seller ever! And most people that knows what really is under the hood to the nuts and bolts can not afford it. Is not that funny?

My dad always said, a well advertised product with the right price to target certain clientèle will sell well. He proved that one day. He sold 25, $15 pad locks at $75 a piece. he said if he sold them at $15 people will say that is an expensive pad lock. At $75, it has to be a hell of a pad lock, well designed and bullet proof........ At the end, they sold in one day !!! I laugh hard on that one =))

BTW, my fiance has an 07 VW Bettle with an Audi engine, well engineer little car, does not cost a fortune and sure is a fun car to drive. Very underestimated car. Beside, the 1st car I ever bought was a 72 Beetle, my dad bought a 64 Bettle brand new and an 85 Audi 5000S, my 2 best friends bought Beetles (one was a Super Beetle), my fiance is her 3rd Beetle. So I am not new to German cars. Also worked on my friends Daimler Benz Diesel to convert it to run with Veggie oil. Interesting project. I am truly sold on Diesel engines, watch the TDIs they are light years ahead in performance and fuel efficiency with the ability of been multi fuel.

I learned to drive on a 75 Monte Carlo and had my driver's license on it, even parallel park, no need for a Lexus auto park feature :-) The worst car I ever drove was a Prelude that was the biggest POS ever! I have license for semi trailers and motorcycles. So I drove from 2 wheels to 18 and taught people how to drive semi trailers. So mechanics does runs on me. I learn Automotives when I was just a kid with a 68 Camaro SS. Will love to get one in Hugger Orange, just for sentimental value. Worked on Aircrafts and now on Computer Networks (Linux and Windows). So a techie yes I am !

I guess is time to leave Yahoo Questions it was interesting playing around here, or just drop from time to time if I have the time again.

Note...
Hey Carppie you sure like to pop here and there too. Keep them coming fella we have fun with you and your cussing =))

Sport cars vs Muscle cars question to professional...?

Idle

At first please Don't confuse me with an amateur.I've done for months lost of research about vehicles.
The question is why are sport cars like Ferrari 458 Italia(562 hp); Aston martin (540 hp);lotus;BMW;Audi;and all others considered as luxurious car more expensive than muscle cars even know they are less powerful such like 2012 Chevy Camaro zl1 (580 hp) or Ford Mustang Shelby Gt (550 hp) ... Please do not bring me the low production rates stuffs;high price material or hand made.Cause i got proof that these companies like Ferrari get 175 % of benefit on every car sale so please serious and tough answers.
I know that speed doesn't only stands on horsepower; But the Zl1 Camaro got the most respect worldwide for his aerodynamic ; drivetrain ; launch; only one able for 24 hours deep track with no tire changing;and best tire smoke. Also all these muscle got super leather ; cool and lasting interior smell; HID headlamps; motor computer set able; air brake and others. So please enough professional answer
note:the muscle car and sport car terms have changed these late years.Am not a muscle car lover.(i could bring a lot more info but it would be too much long)

Answer
Mainly sports cars such as Ferrari and Lamborghini are a social status, It says look I am rich I can afford to run an Italian sports car. Muscle cars however haven't got that status.

Usually if someone said here I have two cars, A Lamborghini Aventador and a '67 Mustang with a custom engine, choose one.
A lot of people would choose the Lambo, I would choose the mustang. I prefer them they have a meatier sound and are more fun to play about with and tune. I suppose it depends on what you are doing with it, If you are like me, a mechanic and have been into cars for years I would choose the muscle car just for pure enjoyment and because of their tuning capabilities, If I was a very rich professional sports player I'd have an Aventador because I'm an over paid, half brained idiot who thinks because it has a bull on it and it's Italian it is the fastest thing on the road and you look the mutts nuts.

Why don't you see expensive sports cars with high mileage for sale?

Zach s

I understand that the value goes down if you drive it more but i've never seen a ferrari with over 100k on it. There has to be somebody driving these sports cars past 100k and then selling them

Answer
There actually aren't many people driving them that long. The problem is that they need huge repairs when they get old. A high performance engine like what's in a super car is running at the edge of it's limit. It likely won't make it to a hundred thousand miles.

Now if you're interested in a ferrari with 85,000 miles that needs a $35,000 engine job and has a bunch of accessories that frankly, who knows when they'll go, you might be able to find what you're looking for.

Obviously there are plenty of old super cars around, but, if you look at them online they always seem to have under 50k on them, right?

what are some sports cars that are front wheel drive?

Shelley

I'm looking for a tight sport car that is front wheel drive. Please give me some car names?

Answer
There are no FWD sports cars. Lots of 'sporty' FWD's as identified in earlier response.

rear wheel drive cars?

~MEEEOW~

what are some of the benefits of having rear wheel drive, especially in sports cars? Thanks in advance!!
What is torque steer and over steer?

Answer
Rear wheel drive cars are known to have better power distribution to the wheels and better traction on road surfaces.

Especially in sports cars, which are designed for performance, factors such as stability of the car under any road condition are essential.

Unlike a front wheel drive car, in which the engine delivers power to the front wheels alone. The rear wheels are simply being 'dragged' along with the rest of the vehicle. The function of the rear wheels in a front wheel drive car is simply to support the structure of the vehicle and nothing more than that. There is no traction in the rear of the car.

In a rear wheel drive car, all the power and traction is supplied to the rear wheels, while the front wheels are used to steer the car.

Over Steer - Suppose you are driving a nose heavy car (a car which has got a heavier front than the rear), going fast around a curve could result in the car losing traction (grip) from the rear end and having its back being flung outside the curve. Over Steer can also result from bad aerodynamics which fail to equalize downforce on the front and rear of the car, i.e. higher down force at the front and no or very low downforce at the rear.

Traction in the rear wheels is preferable as power delive

Whats a new and nice sports luxury car that you get under 100k?

umm lol

preferably a Bmw and no 4 doors

Answer
In my opinion, the best BMW under $100,000 is the BMW M5. It has the best mix of luxury, comfort, and of course, performance. BUT, it only comes as a 4 door sedan.

The BMW M3, which is the smaller counterpart to the M5, has a V-8 motor with a little under 100 less HP than the M5. BUT, it is available in both sedan and 2 door coupe form.

There is also the BMW 335i which is a great luxury vehicle. It is less performance oriented compared to the M cars, but it still has a ton of power. This car is also available in both 2 and 4 door form.

If you are interested in non-BMW's, check out:
Nissan GT-R
Audi R8
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Mercedes Benz SL550 Roadster
Audi S8

I want to buy a Sports car for excitement?

kellogg

If I make around 80 - 100k a year, what sports car would you recommend me? I don't really care about HP and top speed etc, excitement is my priority.

Answer
Well you can't get much more exciting than a Lotus Exige Supercharged or any other superlight track car like the Ariel Atom or Caterham R500. The Atom is the most "bat out of hellish", especially the new 500 V8 with a 363kW V8 in a car that weighs under 500kg... If you're not into superlights or you want something bigger the way to go would be a Dodge Viper, Nissan 370Z or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ400.

First CAR UNDER 4K - PLEASE ADVISE?

crazy

I am a 25 year old female looking for a neat car, preferably between 2K - 4K. a fun, engaging luxury car model in that price range? I know there aren't a lot of choices, and that is fine. However, I would love to have a convertible car if possible. I am trying to remain stable financially and save some money so i need a good choice of car under 4K. perhaps a toyota or honda or any other recommendations that you may have for me. Also if you can direct me to the right website or dealer in NY, where i can find such low deals then i will be truly grateful. i am really new to this car business so serious advise is truly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Cheers.

Answer
Buy private party, craigslist. Nissan, Honda, or Toyota would be your best bet. If you are stuck on a convertible then VW Cabrio or Bug are only things I can think of in that price range. Not all European cars are that bad, but they do require a more thorough initial inspection to make sure if is a good one. I bought a 99 Nissan Altima in upstate NY, best car I ever owned. Had 298,000 miles on it when I sold it and still running strong (had to sell because I was moving and couldn't afford to ship it) And you probably won't find a lot of luxury for that price range. If you are persistent though, there are deals out there. i bought my last car from Staten Island, granted it was a 96 VW Passat, but it was immaculate condition with all new custom leather interior, paid $4500. You just have to look hard.

Which car is better for me?

Peter

I am turning sixteen in May and I live in ny (Long Island) And i have a few car choices but I cant decide theyre all between they years 03-06

2003-06 Lincoln Navigator

2003-06 Lincoln Aviator

2003-06 Infiniti G35 Coupe

2003-06 Infiniti G35 Sedan

2003-06 Mercedes Benz S500

Answer
You live in Long Island and you're buying a luxury car, much less an SUV...

do you actually drive into the City, or is the only driving you do around the Hamptons? Do you realize how bad the traffic is in NYC? It's insane. It's why I'm glad I live not only upstate, but WAY upstate.

Out of those choices, your best bet is the Infiniti. But you really should get a smaller car so you can fit into those tight little city parking spots and dodge the cars if you ever have to head into Manhattan.

What's a new car under $30K that could pass as a luxury vehicle?

John

Sort of a Mercedes or BMW lookalike that looks very classy and luxurious.

Answer
** Don't Buy New - Buy Used. **

Open up a world of fine-driving possibilities. If you want a new-looking car with a warranty, then just buy a 'newer' car with low mileage. Buying new is pretty much like throwing money away, which is fine if you are really getting something out of it, like enjoying being the first owner, etc. Being a second owner has never bothered me, nor has a tiny imperfection here or there, or a few miles. Instead, I've loved having awesome cars instead of being like some of my friends that bought new pieces of crap for the same price. See a Benz or Bimmer you love? Buy it used!

Best AWD Performance car under $30K?

I like the BMW 335xi but it's so darn expensive. I am now looking at a 2006 Infiniti G35x for around $19K but the car is already 5 years old..! Is there anything out there that I'm missing? I want something that has some get up and go and is not a weakling- Thanks!

Answer
It seems like your budget might be under $20K?? The BMW 335i is not expensive if your looking for a used car which I assume you are if your considering a 2006 Infiniti G35?? For starters if your looking for an Infiniti under $30K then I have absolutely no idea why you're shopping for a used 2006 G35 coupe or sedan? For get the G35 why not the G37?? You can easily find a pre owned 2008 BMW 335i or 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe under $30,000. For less then $30K your looking at a large variety of used luxury sport car like the Mercedes C350, Audi A4, Infiniti G37 coupe/sedan, BMW 335i coupe/sedan & Lexus IS350. If you're looking for a fast car then the best performing vehicles of the bunch are the BMW & Infiniti. The Infiniti G37 has a class leading & potent 330 HP engine while the BMW has a great handling 300 HP engine. Here are just a few listings of some used luxury sport cars under $30,000, all with clean titles under 50K miles. These are just examples though.

whats the best 2009 car under $50,000?

cb24

into more sport cars, coupes are preferred.

Answer
Definitely Nissan's killer 370Z. Fast, nimble, great looker, and the best bang for buck of 2009 so far for sure. A close second would be BMW's twin-turbo'd V6 135i, but the 370Z's faster and more nimble. The 135i would have more luxury though.

What is the best medium-big luxury suv under 50,000 with 7 seats.?

My family of 5 needs a car that does well in the snow wit all wheel drive. I was considering the new 7 seater x5, but i wanted other ideas. Thanks a lot!!!

Answer
Audi Q7,Mercedes G class. Stay away from American Makes they have cheapened the way they are built with the new models. I work for Ford and an example would be the 2007 Navigator no longer has aluminum control arms they use stamped steel. Many items on the American models are like this example so be careful when you go out and lay down 50,000+ on an SUV that may have resale values that drops like a rock when gas prices go up again.

Best used sport / luxury car for $15k with around 35k miles?

Guanabana

I have ask this question before, but every time people just give me suggestions that are over my $15k budget (some of them WAY over my budget) or are simply cars that are not luxury, nor sport cars.

I am looking for a car that is

A used luxury or a sport cars
For $15,000 or less
with around 35k miles.
That makes at least 22 mpg combined
Pick ups and anything that uses diesel is not a luxury car.

I would be really grateful if you add a ebay link or if you see anything in my local market (Miami).
Bill, it is quite more common to find low mile sport and luxury cars than you may think. Sometimes the owners do not used them as their main mode of transportation, or they just don't drive a lot. My current car is from 2004 and it has barely 60k miles. Actually I have found a few cars in my budget and miles (mostly Audi A4, Acura TSX, late 90s early 2000s Porsche Boxster (doesn't meet my MPG criteria, but I have seen a lot with that kind of millage) just to name a few.
Brent, I ask because after doing my own research, I might find that others people opinion may be valuable or they may find something I overlooked. Yes, those are entry level luxury cars, but are luxury cars. I don´t need to go over 150 mph to commute to work. I want a car that is comfortable and with amenities and if I can´t find that, a car that is at least fun to drive. The Audi A4 is not related with the VW Passat other than sharing the engine, and the Acura TSX is not related at all to the Civic, other than being build by Honda (it is the international Accord, as the TL is also based on the Accord and like a lot of luxury cars are based on other midsize cars). If I wanted just a fast car, I could get a Mustang GT like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GT-Premium-Coupe-4-6L-Fuel-economy-EPA-highway-mpg-23-and-EPA-city-m-/130863557190?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e78136a46=

Answer
$15K is a little low for a used luxury car with 35k miles. The average vehicle is driven 12-15k miles per year and based on that you would be looking for a 2-3 year old luxury vehicle. Most anything in the luxury category would sell for a minimum of $40k new and few, if any, would depreciate $25k over a 2-3 yr period. Good Luck
