Karma believers-What karma have you witnessed and/or had yourself?

Q. I've been researching karma all night. It's interesting, but some people believe, some people don't. My question is , what karma have YOU had or what karma have YOU personally seen?

Answer
Karma = "imprint". Everything we do, say, think and feel sets one or another type of imprint within us. In turn, it is those imprints (karmas) that we have set inside ourselves that draw to us the people and situations of our life. Here is a story about karma:

In 1964, folk music was very popular. Everyone was singing the songs, often with other people so we could harmonize together. And you just HAD to have at least one guitar to do this.

I had no guitar. But my older sister had a cheap guitar that had a tinny sound and the metal strings left deep painful grooves in your fingertips after chording for a while. But ... it was a guitar!!!!! I borrowed it as much as I could (sis was living at home while she went to university).

Christmas came, and my sister had no money for gifts. Christmas morning she came out of her room with her guitar in her hand, a bow on it, and gives it to me. She had tears in her eyes, partly because I was so overjoyed and she was moved ... but also because she too loved her guitar and she couldn't afford to replace it. Her gift was a great act of unselfish caring and generosity.

Five months later, sis was walking down the sidewalk. She was walking by some guy packing up his MG sports car, when he called out to her. He said he had graduated and was moving across-country, 3000 miles away, and was only taking what would fit into his car ... he couldn't fit his guitar into his car ... would she like it? He was giving it away.
Of COURSE she accepted, and when she got home and opened up the guitar case, she saw that he had given her a Martin Classical guitar. With sweet, dulcet tones and soft nylon strings that never hurt your fingers, this guitar would cost over $4,000 in today's market.

Now ... about 8 years later I too had an occasion to perform an act of great generosity, taking a strong attachment to something I owned, and turning it into the joy of giving it away. Two weeks later, I got a gift of the same type of item, but of far greater value than what I had parted with.

Once is coincidence. Twice is ... karma.

Should US government take back $1/2 billion loan to German car maker for making cars in Finland?

Deep End o

Henrik Fisker promised to build an electric car in the USA and received a $500 million loan from the Energy Department (a.k.a. the U.S. tax payer). The Obama Administration heralded the loan as a boost to U.S. jobs. Now Fisker is building the cars in Finland.

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/car-company-us-loan-builds-cars-finland/story?id=14770875

Answer
The loan was made in 2009, and is for the development of a family car, the Karma sports car being assembled in Finland has little to nothing to do with the loan.

And Fisker is an American company, not German, in fact, they have facilities in Michigan, where I live, so they at least create some jobs here, where they are sorely needed. They have also created jobs in Delaware, and more will be created when the loan is used to build the planned family sedan here in the US.

I would certainly be happier if they also decided to build all their cars here, and I intend to write them. They should indeed be embarrassed by this. My state badly needs these jobs.

But this behavior is hardly unprecedented. All American car companies build many their cars out of the country. Frankly, tax laws encourage this. Laws that need to be changed. This is where your anger should be directed. Of course American car companies build cars in foreign countries if it saves money.

If it's the loan that bothers you, it's a much bigger question than just electric cars. Why do we subsidize oil companies to the tune of billions of dollars every year? Most petroleum companies aren't even American companies.

What is a good cheap(3000-5000) small sports car?

Blu-E

I have been looking around, and so far, these have caught my eye. Any more suggestions. I like smaller cars that handle very well, and have decent power.

Nissan 240sx

Mazda Miata

Porsche 944
Forgot the AE86.

Also, I prefer rear wheel, or, AWD.

Answer
Your spot on about RWD as FWD are not sports cars and the engine bay will be limited due to compensating for the front wheel transmission; not to mention the handling and acceleration will be significantly worse on a FWD.

I recommend staying away from the Nissan 240/300 series because they are disastrously over complicated and difficult to work on. I used to own a 240sx and it was an all day project to do something as simple as an oil change.

Porsche 944 are very nice cars and fun to work on and play with. There a few trouble points when working on them but they have alot of potential. The only thing is, with a porsche, the things you cannot fix, expect a high service bill on. With enough money you can make Porsche 944 very fast.

Mazda Miatas are very nice cars to begin with. I recommend the first generation (NA) because they are best platform to build of from and have the best handling out of the rest of the series. I've gone around corners at 60 mph and kept control of the car the whole time. 90-93 models are rated at about 90 hp while the 94-97 at just over 100 hp. WIth a few mods to the air intake and exhaust and timing advances, can get as much as 130-140 (depending on the year) hp on a naturally aspirated Miata. This may not seem like alot of power but when the car weighs 2100 pounds, that's more than adequate power. The engine they use also takes forced induction very well. With about $2000 into a turbokit you can easily get 300hp.

Someone mentioned the RX-7 as a choice and I definately agree with that. The RX-7 is a very fine car, and well built. The only problem with it is the Rotary Engine doesn't have a long life (not a big deal if you ask me) and you cannot find a 90s RX-7 for less than $10,000. They usually go for about $12k to $15k.

All in all, I would recommend the Miata as a first choice then the 944 as they are both fine cars. I cannot tell you how many "tricked-out" civics, accords, MR2s, 300zxs, Mustangs, Celicas, Eclipses, ect I have out run in my little Miata.

whats a good cheap sports car?

Im 18 and looking for my first car. I want a sports car year 90 and up and looking to spend about 5000 on the car and eventually beef it up with upgrades. please don't suggest civics.

Answer
Well, good luck with the insurance on a sports car at that age. I would suggest a 2000 or 2001 mercury cougar, it has a nice body and plenty of room to be beefed up later. It goes for about 5000, and the design is farly modern so your car doesn't look like an old mustang or camaro or pontiac.

I think 99 Accords have the one of the best bodies and there are plenty of parts in the market to sup them up later.

Earlier Eclipses are very sporty and also the Evolution. All those are good choises and are around the $5000 range.

I would suggest that you go on craigslist.org or one of those sites and see what kinds of cars people are selling around the $5000 range. See which ones you like, and then do research on those cars to see how they fare against each other. Everyone has different taste in cars, so it's best to do your own research.

Car lovers!!!!!?

Victoria

I really was to go to a car show this summer of '08 with my uncle. But I don't know where. I'm thinking of nice sports cars. Here are the cars I like.

Bentley,Rolls Royce,Koenigsegg CCR, McLaren, Bugatti, Ocra, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Aston Martin, Maybach,Porsche Carrera GT, Wiesmann GT Coupe.

Does anyone know any nice car shows which have at least SOME of these cars? Please tell me a place near the Washington, DC area. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or an automusem would work too. Please give me a good place
or would this be a good place? http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/

Answer
Wow... marry me LOL

You sure as heck know your cars... CCR? Is that a new Koenigsegg model?

I've heard that the smithsonian has other power machines like the SR-71, etc... that should quench your thirst. But if you want those cars, you'd have to go to Europe. Like the BMW museum in Munich, Porsche factory in Stuttgart, just go to London to see the Bentleys and Rolls Royces and THE motor show to see these european beasts in gentlemen's clothing, Geneva Motor Show 2008.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva_Motor_Show

Cause detroit, philly and so on... just have lots of American cars that look great, but have huge handling issues, with a few european marques around.
Hope this answer helps.

What's your favorite sports car?

bballlover

What's your favorite kind of car? I'm looking to upgrade my car, I'm 17. I can spend at the most around $7,000. So far I like RX8's. I need ideas on what to buy. Most things don't matter but I do need a 4 seater. Let me know! Thanks!

Answer
A TRUE Sports Car would be a 2-seater, usually with a removable top. Anything with 4 seats would be a sports coupe or sports sedan.

My favorite Sports Car has always been the Chevy Corvette, but those are a bit out of your price range, and even if you could find one, the cost of insurance for a 17 year old driver would kill you..

There's lots of nice, used cars out there for around $7000. I'd suggest you get away from your computer and spend some time checking out the local used car lots to see what's out there.

Why does Nissan have 3 sports models for JDM?

Baby Boy

Silvia, Skyline, and Z. All were different models and have been produced along side each other for their entire lives. Yeah, Japan has a huge car culture, sweet, but then why is Nissan the only company to do so? The 300zx, S13, and R32/33 were all concurrently available as 4 seaters, so there's no coupe appeal reasoning. Was there a huge difference in price? I'm just confused about the huge opportunity for sales cannibalization, even though it seems to have never been an issue.
My point is these three models are all extremely similar and comparatively priced.

Honda has an S2000 and a Prelude. Prelude is not available as a 2 seater. Accords & Civics are not sold as sport models, just modded to sports, and therefore don't really strike me as being similar in make.

Toyota has a Soarer, Supra, Celica, and an MR2/S. MR2 is only a 2-seater, so it has the coupe appeal, and since the Supra and Celica are very dissimilar in price, they are hard to compare. Soarer is even more expensive.
JDM only means Japanese Domestic Market, which was my way of specifying that I was talking about older R32s/R33s/R34s, etc.
2 out of 3 of the cars I specified are still produced and are available in the US. Considering my new information, and considering these three cars are similarly priced (unless you take a GT-R and TT Fairlady, obviously) and similarly styled, my question remains the same. Can anyone give me exact MSRPs for each in comparable makes? That might clarify.
Also the fact that accords, civics, and celicas are all front wheel drive further distances them from their sportier counterparts. I guess what I need clarified is how much of a price difference there is between a base S13 and a base R33, because I have been assuming that they are very similar. If they are quite different then this would immediately answer my question, though it would still leave the debate about the skyline and the 300zx.....

Answer
As said many makers have a range of cars which they keep ie the accord , supra ,gto,Civic etc etc.

Most makers including Nissan have a range from mpv to coupe to 4x4 Nissan has a mix of models and with variations on room IE 300zx 2 seater and a 4 seater skyline range GTR 4 seater GTS 5 seater. And on the coupe side each model differs in style engines and room the 300zx was a luxury model and offered an exotic style to the exec. The sx/Silvia range was to compete against the Celica a small sporty car with class and a sporty feel. The Skyline range was only ever offered abroad in very very small numbers and from 1957 when it first came out it offered a luxury drive and again a sporty engine but later models where to be in competition with the Porsche so this more hardcore model was made needed but variations ie th non turbo and single turbo versions kept fans happy. But the hardcore GTR version would take the car to modern races.
Again prices in its day would differ between models ie turbo non turbo 3 door 5 door etc etc.
So each model also would have catered for a different taste on the market so it wouldnt have affected its sales.

World sales not every country had certain models and some countries didnt want them, yes the safety aspect did make a difference but major factors was was the car going to sell well
IE turbo models sell well nowdays but the 180sx flopped so the 240sx was made as at the time turbo's where a no no in the US,In the UK which still isnt far off now ,they stick to familier models so adding a new car wouldnt have paid .
This is a major reason why the Skyline was never sold worldwide as the demand at the time was never that great.
to promote or alter emissions etc .

prices when new in 1993

$16600
base model R33 skyline GTS

$23900
R33 Skyline GTS-T

$43800
GTR model R33 Skyline

$33,000
Turbo 300zx model

$16,000
Turbo s13

Difference of the 300ZX and the Skyline was the zx was to appeal as an exotic car like the Ferrari whilst the Skyline wanted to appeal as a family sports car which offered the thrill of speed and looks but practical also hence a Diesel model non turbo model estate model and to the turbo models and different engines sizes from a 1.8 2.0 2.5 2.6 and with single and twin can and Limited edition variations..

why are cars here in NZ so cheap?

davidmyers

compared to Malaysia.. for the price of a kancil here which is like a mini cooper car only smaller and lousier costs about RM20000 which you can already get a decent car there. i see sports cars on the streets everywhere.. no sight of preloved cars. is the country's economy rich that you can sell off cars cheap?

Answer
Cars are relatively inexpensive in New Zealand primarily due to two events that took place towards the end of the 1990s.

In 1998 the government removed all import tariffs on motor vehicles and they lifted the ban on parallel importing. Under parallel importing, retailers can sell a range of goods which were previously subject to sales restrictions. This affected certain lines of clothing, footwear, compact discs, televisions, cosmetics and perfumes, as well as motor vehicles.

The majority of cars sold in New Zealand are from the Asian countries (Japan, Korea etc) as well as from Australia. New Zealand does not manufacture its own cars.

Add to this that New Zealanders have a very high level of car ownership per capita and you have a market place which is highly competitive.

Having said this, there is (contrary to what you seem to have observed) a high level of importation of 'preloved' cars from countries like Japan who, like NZ, drive on the left. These cars are generally in excellent condition and, because they receive a NZ licence plate which reflects their date of importation rather than their age, it can sometimes appear that there are a greater number of new cars on the road than is actually the case. Importation of good quality inexpensive 'preloved' cars assists in keeping the price of new cars at competitive levels.

Sports cars?

la_ti_da.c

I love sports cars, although I really don't know many.names. I'm meeting up with some friends i haven't seen in a while and they share my interest. I'd like to be able to impress them with my 'knowledge' of some great cars!! but i am talking specific cars, not just a general make.......
Thanks!!!

Answer
No worries! So what Iâll do is just give you some specific topics that are all the buzz in the Sports Car world right now:

1.BMWâs brand new E92 M3. The car improves on the old E46 M3âs inline-6 engine to a V8 that is actually lighter. 0-60 times are under 4.5 seconds. The reason why BMWâs M3 is so great because it marks serious competition to Audiâs RS4, Mercedes-Benzâs E63 AMG and achieves 420 bhp figures without Turbocharging or Supercharging. It also is the first time the M3 has been offered in Coupe, Sport Sedan, and Sport Wagon since the late 90s. The M3 is expected to handle phenomenally due to the low center of gravity, achieved with a carbon-fiber roof.

2.Next, the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT Range. The new 911 GT3 RS (RS = Rennsport) is the race version of the non-turbo 911, it has a wider track and is very lightweight due to carbon fiber materials on the body. The rear spoiler provides massive down force and puts the GT3 RS as the most anticipated street-legal race car in the world. The up-and-coming GT2 and GT2 RS are Turbocharged versions of the GT series, estimated to vastly outpaced the Regular 911 Turbo by 51 bhp and an expected 3.0 second flat 0-60 time. That car will be out in Mid-2008.

3.On the American Front, Roush Racing has produced a 415 bhp Ford Mustang that has upgraded suspension and power upgrades. The overall package vastly exceeds the performance of all Mustangs, including the GT line. The archaic rear 3-link solid-axle suspension is ideal for drag racing, but on a regular track, the Ford is severely inhibited. This has always been a problem with Mustangs, poor handling. Roush Racing upgraded the suspension and now the Mustang is very formidable on all tracks.

4.The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 will no longer be the fastest car in the world. The Koenigsegg CCRX is staged to beat the top speed by using an ethanol fueled engine. The E85 biofuel produces more horsepower than regular gasoline, making the CCXRâs supercharged V8 produce more than 1,100 horsepower. The Koenigsegg is arguably the purest hyper-car. It has no Stability Control, Traction Management or electronic aids. The Car is completely reliant on the driverâs skill, even at high speeds. The Bugatti is loaded with technology like Stability Control, All-Wheel Drive, Launch Control, and advanced Variable Turbine Turbocharging.

I gave you some starters. These are really specific. Your best bet is to stick to Porsche and BMW; they are clearly identified as Sports Cars. Mercedes-Benz is a matter of opinion. Many contend that Mercedes-Benz is not aggressive (in handling) enough to be considered a pure Sports Car, despite the amazing AMG Division. The same goes for Audi who is still trying to get over the High-Priced-Volkswagen stigma; however the S4 and RS4 are excellent cars.

I left Japanese Cars off the list because there is only one comparable Sports Car in all of Japan: the Lexus IS-F and itâs not even out until October. Unfortunately tuner cars donât really count and even the Mustang mentioned above is questionable. The stock Mustang, as it stands, it not competition to any German Car, but the Roush Racing version is very impressive. I tried to be balanced. I hope this help.

What force would it take to accelerate a 700kg sports car from 0-60 in 5s?

Hot Karl

If you were driving a 2200kg minivan from 0-60 in 10.5s what force would be required?
What if you used the engine from the sports car in the minivan? What would be the resulting acceleration of the minivan be?

Answer
It depends on whether the vehicle is accelerating at a constant rate.

If you assume that acceleration is constant, then you still can't make any calculations because there are no engineering units on your speed.

Poor man's sports car?

Math Geek

I have around $12k and I want a sports car.

I'm considering a 2002 Toyota Mr2 Spyder which looks cool but is not a great performer.

There's of course a few 2001-2003 Mazda Miata's, but they seem girly to me.

Any suggestion on a good quality sports car that fits in my budget?

Answer
A Subaru WRX has 4 doors, but it's well made and it'll outdo some sports cars that are more than double the price.

You can easily find a 2002 WRX for about $10k-$15k with under 70k miles.

Car Transmissions?

The Unknow

Why does the UK and Europe prefer manual driving where as America favors automatic?? Anything behind it??

Answer
There is a culture difference. People on this side of the pond look at a car as a convenient luxury. People in Europe tend to look at a car as something to be driven and enjoyed.
Most European cars were built with that idea in mind. They have superior handling and performance for the size of car and engine. If they want a large car, they still go with one that handles.
Most roads in the US are straight whereas in Europe, the roads are curvy with greater elevation changes. A car with a manual transmission gives you the option of engine braking along with more control in keeping the revs in the power band.
The roads most like Europe are likely to be found in the mountain states and in the south east. North Georgia has some of the best roads and scenery in the middle of summer. Half the fun of driving is making your car do what you want it to.

ABOUT CAR TRANSMISSIONS?

I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY CARS (IF SO GIVE NAMES PLZ) that have a manual stick and also automatic. because i would like the feeling of shifting but sometimes would like to kick back and just put it on drive and not have to worry about shifting .

Answer
there are a wide range of gearbox types used in cars today.
basic manuals which use a driver controlled clutch to connect the engine to the gearbox and a gear lever for selecting gears.
basic automatics use a fluid coupling to connect the engine and gearbox and use a computer to control gear selection. in modern automatics, there has been an increase in the use of paddles to let the driver give the computer prompts to change the gear. systems like these are often used in premium or luxury cars. they are still automatics and have the speed downfalls of automatics which is the fluid coupling that makes the engine lose power and lack response and immediacy.

then come the tricky gearboxes.
automated manuals which are the ones seen in expensive sports cars like a BMW M3, Lamborghini Gallardo or older Audi R8 models.
these are much like manual gearboxes where they use a clutch (rather than a fluid coupling) to connect the engine to the gearbox. unlike manuals though, automated manuals have computers controlling the clutch and gear selection. this means that you get the immediacy and lightness of a manual gearbox with the ease of use of an automatic. these gearboxes are much faster than a manual or regular automatic gearbox. (the immediacy of a clutch with the added speed of a computer controlling everything means huge speed benefits).
the oldest car that i know of with an automated manual would be an E36 generation BMW M3. these are quite old and were not as refined as the gearboxes we have today. even the next generation (E46) were much better but they were still plagued with reliability issues. modern automated manuals are actually quite good. but there's still another type.
in supercars, there has been a rise in the use of a dual clutch gearbox. this is like 2 gearboxes in 1. 1 clutch controls gears 1,3,5 and 7 while the other controls 2,4,6 and reverse. by preparing the next gear and just quickly alternating clutches, a dual clutch gearbox has much faster shift times, much smoother shifts and overall better performance. they are seen in cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia, Mclaren MP4-12C, or Nissan GT-R. these gearboxes are incredibly fast but very complex and expensive. you'll rarely see them on affordable cars.

if you want to be able to manual select gears (moving a lever connected to the gearbox around) and at the same time have an automatic function, i'm afraid you are out of luck, no such cars exist. there are still many options available if you just want to use things like a button to tell the car when to shift. this technology has been around for quite some time now and is easy to use. just look for any signs of manual mode on the gear selector lever or paddles behind the wheel.
on audi, VW and porsche, the basic automatics with driver contolled gear changing is called tiptronic (DSG is a dual clutch gearbox). look for signs like -tronic. (sport-tronic, touch-tronic, or sport shift). only true manuals will let you use a clutch and gear lever though.

Have family cars almost caught up to sports cars when it comes to acceleration from 0-60?

Fufu

There used to be a big difference between the two 30 years ago, but today they're almost equal.

Answer
Kinda but not really. Some everyday cars do have as much horsepower and torque as sports cars these days but they don't perform the same. For example the Cadillac Escalade has more horsepower than the BMW X6 50i. And they have similar dimensions. But the Escalade can not perform like the X6. So today sports cars outperform everyday cars more than having stronger engines.

P.s. all real sports cars are terrible on gas. Not a single one gets over 20mpg

Can you help me out?:

I have $100,000 to buy a car. I want a sports car thats's fast and luxurious. What should I get? ?

Answer
well here is a good list to start from.

2012 BMW M3 coupe costs around $75000 so I suggest getting some upgrades for it. Also probably one of the best all round cars out there.

2009 Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG. These things look stunning and are pretty damn fast as well as luxurious.

2007 Aston Martin DB9 or V8 Vantage. Probably the best looking cars out there.

2009 Porsche 911. Well it is a Porsche that is all that needs to be said.

2003 Ferrari 360. Well it is a God Damn Ferrari. Who doesn't want a Ferrari!

Are girls attracted to guys with sports cars?

My friend drives a 2004 Ford Mustang. Although it is 6 years old, he still attracts girls with his car. When this other kid at my school got a 2005 Ford Mustang, girls started dating him too. Im not going to lie, my friends are a little attractive (no homo) but I don't fall to far behind them. I drive a Kia Soul and do not attract any girls. Are girls attracted to guys with sports cars?

Most of the girls were interested in them when they got their Mustang's.

Answer
I would not say they are attracted to guys with sports cars, (word for word from my girlfriend of seven years) but girls like guys with "clean" cars. Most of the time when guys have a sports car reguardless of year make and modle, 99% of the time the car is real clean, (paint, interior, exter. ect) Now, you say you've got a Kia Soul, that's a new modle car, I'd gues 09, or so... You've got a 100,000 / 10 year warrenty. I'm in the automotive field, and my girlfriend owns a 06 kia spectra, and I can tell you first hand, you'll never have to put money into that car for parts that break on you. Because Kia's are very reliable cars. As though I'm a die hard Ford fan, those guys with those mustangs will be needing to replace part as part because lets face it, they will be riding the cars real hard. Think about it this way, they're on a date and than the car dies cause of how hard they drive them LOL would be funny, You on the other hand have a brand new car... and it's a Kia. I've never had to do anything to my girls car, and I promise you it'lll always remain like that. Keep the car, and wait until the right girl comes along. I met my girl in 7th grade... my first car was a 93 ford taurs, second car, 07 mustang, third 95 thunderbird, and now i'm in a 99 ranger... still with her.

Stuff to do in Jersey, The Channel Islands?

TheHeather

Thinking of taking a vacation to Jersey, in the UK, not that $hithole state on the east coast of the United States. Anywho, the pictures are pretty convincing in themselves but, what do folks do over there? Any exciting ideas that will just make me want to pack my bags tomorrow?

Answer
UK reply

It is a very small, clean, well managed, beautiful island.
A mixture of all the best of "old fashioned" England mixed up with the Fench!
Exceptionally easy to get around by bus or car.

You seem to be from the US so what ever you do don't order a "C" compact car or bigger. What you need is a SMART car, link attached:-
http://uk.smart.com/?csref=ppc_smartuk_smart_40511&s_kwcid=TC-14271-3544650741-e-469349940
Some of the roads are TINY as in unbelievably narrow to you! We have had Smart's and even they feel big!

Here is the tourist office website:-
http://www.jersey.com/English/Pages/default.aspx
Depends what you want to do, it is all here - just in miniature which is it's beauty - no mass tourism!

You could stay in a "chain" hotel but why not go for a luxury boutique locally owned hotel. there are lots of "quirky" ones. You will enjoy the experience a million times better!

Have an "awayday" in St. Malo (France) to experience the magic and mystery of a small part of France.
You go across on the ferry:-
http://www.condorferries.co.uk/

You could also visit the other channel islands, Guernsey.Sark, perhaps even Alderney etc. - all different and fascinating!

What you would probably enjoy the most is it is the compete opposite of "modern" America, and all on a tiny scale!

Your Road Test and One's Own Car?

Alpreshot

Just one general question, I have an updated registration and insurance for the car I want to use for my road test (New Jersey), but...

Are cars with backup sensors (looks like it just came with the car) allowed while you take the road test? I was curious because not everyone has that luxury of that.

If this matters at all, mine is a voice-back up sensor, where it tells you about how many feet you are from any object while backing up.

Answer
If you have that luxury then enjoy it!! I think the person giving the test won't say anything. How could your car be exempt from being used, by having technological advances? If anything it should be appreciated by the department of motor vehicles.

16 year old car insurance?

Robertito

Hey, I am 15 years old.
My parents are getting me a car when I turn 16.
I was thinking of a 2002 Lexus IS300, 2006 Acura TSX, or a 2007 Honda Accord Sedan.
I want the IS300 more and will the insurance take the IS300 as a sport car?

Answer
For an exact answer you should call around to the major insurance companies and get quotes. It's hard to answer here because the rates vary by state and each company classifies drivers differently. Sorry but good luck to you!
