I am looking for a comfartable/luxury car which is good off road as well as on the road and is quiete economic, which costs up to 20 grand. something like volkswagen toureg or range rover but a bit more economic. any suggestions?

Honda Pilot or Toyota 4Runner. Avoid Range Rover (unreliable and expensive to fix) and VW (very expensive to fix, and Touaregs are overpriced).

How come this world is dominated by only three Car groups..?

Volskwagen Group, FIAT and Chrysler.
These 3 groups own nearly 93% of all family, sports, gran tourers, luxury cars sold in 2011.
Mercedes Benz is not even there.
How is this possible..?

they buy out smaller car companies.
e.g. fiat bought ferrari. volkswagen bought audi, lambourghini, porsche etc.
volkswagen are huge.
your figures must just be for europe right?
I can't imagine that these stats hold true for east asia e.g. japan, china
toyota would surely have to be there
