where to find cheap firebird parts?

abinventor

where is the cheapest place to find a rear hatch motor cover and nylon slides for a 1988 firebird formula.

im tryin to fix the rear hatch motor in my car, and i need the clear cover that goes over the gears (the reinforced one if its cheap enough) and the nylon slides that allow the entire thing to move

Answer
The motor will fit a Cadillac or even a lincoln. So I think you'll find that the luxury cars so equipped are scattered all over the junkyard.

Do junkyards ever pay something (or tow for free) non-running cars for the parts?

I have a 1984 Lincoln Town Car that hasn't been running for years. The body is good and the interior is somewhat luxury and undamaged. I tried to donate it but charities don't want it because it was always something of a lemon mechanically and is too hard to fix.

Do junkyards ever pay for non-running cars in order to have parts? Or do they ever tow a car at no charge in order to have the parts?

Answer
Try to check out how much the parts cost. Usually old cars are worthless though.
