Is an acura tsx considered a sports car?

Joseph

i would like to know if it will raise my insurance if it is a sports car.
Year: 2004

Answer
NO

ITs considered as a entry level sports car.

Sports car are Honda Civic Si, Nissan Sentra SER Spec V, Subaru Impreza WRX Sti, Mitsubishi EVO.

thats an entry level sports car along with BMW 3, Audi A4, Merc C class, Lexus IS, Infiniti G.

Now for insurance, Acura TSX insurance will be low among those but high (depending upon where you live)

BMW, Infiniti any with a 6 cylinder engine has high insurance, that also includes Lexus IS300, if you didn't know the IS300 has high er insurance than IS250 (Because IS300 has the supra engine without turbo)

Acura with 2004 should be fine, Acura TSX is a "white man's car" along with BMW.

oh if its a manual then probably yes, (not sure but ask insurance company)

It doesnt have V6 or RWD so it has the lowest insurance but pretty high because its considered as a Luxury car.

An average person 40 years of age would pay almost 1000 for just his car insurance but with a tsx he would pay about 1300+. "Extra Luxury Charge"

Which a a better sports luxary car? Audi a4, Acura tl or Lexus is?

Hey I'm a 25 year manger at a store, I also attend college I live in San diego. I want to know opinions on which car is best suited for luxary and sport out of Audi a4, acura tl an Lexus is models. I want something quick still luxary they you can be proud to drive downtown with. I don't want to do alot of Maintence. Which is better for a kid about to finsh school wants to have luxary sports car?

Answer
Lexus isn't much into performance, sure its a RWD but its not that much of a handler. (I am not abusing lexus but just being factual)

from the three list you gave me, its a good start, but you have to remember that reliability, insurance, tax and fuel cost will change if you get a sports luxury car.

Audi A4, try not to get the turbo ones especially if they're over 60K, turbo will be expensive, normal ones are hard to find. Insurance tax fuel cost and even simple maintenance cost like oil change (synthetic on turbo) will cost you. so be ready for that! Audi has the best interior and is one of the best looking cars on the road today, especially the B7. Their interiors are worth being in one. Audi is overall the fastest one here.

Acura TL, good car but has single cams, not much of a performer and surprisingly the Acura TSX handles better than the TL, (I can imagine because its a midsize thats probably why). Its a honda so everything on this car is cheap. (will cost a bit because Acura is a luxury name)

Lexus IS is a very good car, it rides brilliantly but not much of a handler because of its chassis, its not tuned properly. it is however a RWD so you'll get better handling unlike audi and acura. Again its a toyota, its suppose to be cheap in every way. Lexus is a good looking car, I don't see anything wrong with it and have no complains about it. Don't listen to recalls, they're just discouraging customers to buy GM instead of Japanese cars.
