Best used four-door luxury car for teenager?

exoticcar2

I've been driving with a permit for about 10 months now, I'll be 16 in two months, and my parents are already about to purchase a vehicle for me. I was thinking about a 2003 BMW 325i, 2006 Audi A4, or Jaguar X-Type. About how much is the insurance on these vehicles? Also, is there another vehicle you recommend for a first car?

Answer
I do not understand why you would want luxury when the necessity is barely met. Instead of buying a used luxury car with TONS of miles on them, why not just buy a BRAND NEW basic car? A Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla would do.

With the used luxury car, you will wreck it within the first year, bumping into poles and stuff. By the second year, parts will start breaking due to the high mileage of the car. By the third year, you will want to buy yet another car because the exterior is cosmetically wreck due to your poor driving, the internal parts will costs too much to fix, could even be more than how much the car is worth. In the end, you end up with nothing.

With a new basic Honda civic for example, you can wreck all you want because after all it's only a civic. With such a reliable car, you can put tons of miles and it would still be running. Even if it were to break down, the price to maintenance would be 1/3 of the luxury car.

Trust me, I've been through it!

Why are you impressed by luxury cars?

When millions of people on our planet are dying for lack of food and water, who can be impressed by some person dramatically overspending when they can buy comparable items for less. Why don't you see this is a greedy, self-important, nobody who thinks a $500, tax-deductible, yearly donation to some local charity makes them a good person. Why can't they see their car advertises the fact that they are doing less than what they can for the suffering. Why can't they see how big a difference they could make by using their resources to make this world a better place, not to compete with the neighbors. There is no competition, the poor don't care what you drive and they are the majority. Feed a million starving babies today, sell your Hummer for a Tahoe.

My Ford F-150 is hotter than ANY car and it cost a reasonable amount of money. Overspending means overcompensating......are you short somehow? Be confident in yourself, cool people don't need to advertise.

Answer
Its because of your beleif...to some earthly luxury pleases them. To others, its a waste and futile exercise. Not all man are created equal,,,
