Looking to Move; Chicago or Houston?

Dan

I am right out of medical school and I'm looking for someplace new. Which city has it all? Restauraunts, entertainment, sports, quality of life; I need some help here ;D

Answer
Chicago is the better choice for most BUT Houston has TMC with more medical research and grant money in any cohesive area but Bethesda.

Chicago costs a little more that Houston to live in. Mostly in housing.
You must have a car in Houston. The weather is to hot and humid for normal human beings.
You live in air conditioning 8 to 9 months of the year if not all year. Then there are the hurricanes.
Most of Chicago does not even get a tornado.

It can get real cold and real hot in Chicago but it only lasts a couple of days or weeks.

The quality of life in Chicago is way better than Houston.
Both have lots of excellent restaurants.
Chicago has more theater, a better symphony and slightly better Opera than Houston but in Houston you can get tickets easily, Not if Chicago since most tickets are scoffed up by subscribers.
Nearby suburbs of Chicago are real towns and cities not just more tract housing like in Houston.

who won the car race in houston le mans 06?
