Well the RX-8 technically isn't a coupe. It still is very fun to drive (test drove one a week ago. the 9000 red line is amazing) not sure if rotary engines get good gas mileage though. Infiniti is a good choice, but it exceeds your budget, starting at around $31000. Nissan Z is right under your 30000 and japanese cars are usually good on maintenance

My wife and I have an 2010 blue Pontiac Volvo g6 sport, 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 2005 Pontiac Grand Am. We're looking for a new vehicle. What would you recommend?

Are you getting rid of one or more of your cars, or adding to the fleet?
Get one more car and everyone can have their own.
I don't see any muscle cars in your fleet. How about a new Camaro SS? Not a family car but it sure is badass. You can the kids can have burnout contests with mom as the judge. How much fun is that?
Or you could get a minivan with DVD for the kids. A nice one is around $30000 new and $20000 used.
