I own a 240sx and a toyota celica, but i want to know what import car is best overall. What do you think is the best?

Neither of those is a Sports car. They are just econo coupes. Of the econo coupes I'd say both the Nissan and Celica are good choices as they are rear wheel drive.
The original Z cars are sports cars but the 300 and 350 are too bulky so those are GT cars. The RX8 is trying to be too many things and fails although the RX7 was pretty good.
The MR2 and 2000 are Sports cars and can be pretty impressive.
Of the contemporary cars I'd say the Lotus Elise is probably the best because it does away with all the frivolous crap like power windows, leather, AC etc and does what it does best, being a sports car. Light weight and moderate power put it right up there with the players. Just pure, basic, unadulterated fun!
Other good choices are the Z3 and Z4 by BMW and even the Miata when set up by Mazdaspeed.

I saw a car in someone's driveway and was wondering what type it was. I know it wasn't a Lamborghini, a Porsche , or a Ferrari, but it did look familiar so it must be popular cause I'm not a car person haha. So if you know any other popular sports cars please let me know (:

I'm going to guess a Lotus Elise/Exige. That has the exotic look but smaller/cheaper, so you see more of them around than the Italian cars.
