there are several ways to improve the fuel economy of a classic muscle car. if you own one with a manuel trans, switch over to a 5 or 6 speed. or you could slap a gearvendors unit on it. now if you muscle car came with an auto. switch over to an overdrive unit ie(700r4 2004-r) you can also install a gearvendors unit on the manual. also carbs with vacuum secondaries tend to get better MPG. I had a 67 lemans with a 68 pontiac 350 and a 2speed trans with a 3:08 rear end. it got around 14-18 on the high way. had i installed an overdrive trans and a carb with vaccuum secondaries it probabally would have gotten around 20 MPG or more on the highway.

lol, I wouldn't actually go as far as to call it a sports car, but it does kind of look like one (more so than a honda prelude, WTF?):
Hyundai Tiburon
