sports cars under 8k image

I am going to get a new car by next month but i dont know what kind of sports coupe car im looking for. I just want it to be reliable and good on gas. Speed isnt that important to me. Right now i like the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT and 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Im just woundering is there any other sport car similar to those that are better? (Not Ford Mustang) First person with at least 3 great car suggestions and tips wins best answer and virtual high five for being awesome! (Also no chick car)

a cheap car that can mod and get more hp than Honda, Mitsubishi, etc. under 8k?
i tried these cars Acuras rsx, Hyundai tibs, Mitsubishi eclipse gt,Chevy camaros but don't really feel the push i wanna get a nice car any good cars? i want some thing fast i know its to much to ask for.

a WRX will smoke all those cars with a good driver.. An STi will leave them wondering where you went. I have a small WRX and will leave all those cars looking at my tail lights all day long. Now a true camaro ss will be as issue.. A 5 year old STi has 300 hp roughly and a WRX almost 270.. All wheel drive and four doors to boot. Subbies are NOT cheap to modify a good intake is over 250 and an exhaust is almost a grand.. but the beauty is! you dont have to modify them!
