generally, what brand is better? i hear alot of people say ford stands for found on road dead, but also i hear people say ford is a little bit better, so what do you all think

I think Ford is a lot better in a few areas. For one, they have much more stylish cars with precise and sharp lines. Compare any of their cars to one in the same segment, and theirs is better looking. The Focus sedan and Fiesta sedan are a little unfortunate-looking, but the hatchbacks versions look much better. Look at the new Chevy Spark supermini. It just has sharp headlights, but super weird proportions and pushed-in taillights. Somehow it seems Chevy doesn't know how to style the tail end of a car. Example: Spark, Sonic, Cobalt, Equinox, Traverse, Volt, Malibu, etc. Recently, Fords have been making more fuel-efficient cars with their EcoBoost technology to have a smaller engine but more horsepower like in their SHO Taurus V6 and EcoBoost 4-cylinder. Their hatches are said to drive as well as German cars since they were developed for Europe, and noticeably most of their cars handle particularly well. I don't know a lot about reliability, but I have heard Ford is improving and might have a slight edge over Chevy. One thing Chevy has that Ford doesn't is a true sports car: the Corvette. Ford did make the GT in 2005-2006, but that was limited production and an expensive supercar, unlike the around $50,000 'Vette. I know people prefer the Camaro for it's styling, but the Mustang is lighter, less expensive, has a better interior, and is said to have better driving dynamics. ZL1? Nothin' special...Just a huge 6.2 V8 with a supercharger...it's been said that a real great tuner can get enough power from an engine without "cheating" by using turbos. Inefficient, gargantuan engines are inefficient and gargantuan. So, as you can probably tell, I prefer Ford. How about you?

Okay so I thought I should get some outside opinion about this.
I am going to buy a nice car.
Now my price range is upto a 200,000 dollar ceiling.
The car will be used.
I am leaning towards a Mercedes SLS right now for 160,000.
I also like the mclaren but it's a little over my budget and there are no used ones in my area. (toronto)
Anyways just want opinions on different sports cars in that range.
This will also be a day to day car so I have to be able to live with it.

Check out a Dupont Registry, its a mag that advertises used super cars. I too love the Mclaren. Carrera Gt? Porsche Gt2? TVR Cerebra speed 6? Austin Martin. Noble? Top Gear did an article on super cars and featured the noble vs. A newer competitor and liked the Nobel better. The Zonda is a beauty.. designed to be as sexy as it is fast.200,000 to spend you should have no problem. Don't forget aftermarket guys like Salleen, they make a mean Mustang or the Salleen S7. The new Dodge Viper is off the hook. RUF remakes porches into monsters. You could buy something sweet and supe it up, like an N.S.X. I once knew a guy with an N.S.X. and a ferrari and he preferred the N.S.X. Don't buy anything unless you have to have it. If you could picture your life without it.. don't. Ford Gt. Veyron, nah, too spendy. Dodge Vipers go for 90,000 new and you could sweeten it up a lot with a hundred grand. Personalization is cooler to me than meh, that's the car they made and I bought.. you could too if you had 200,000. Lol. Custom paint, rims, sound system.. not to mention making it roar under the hood and smoke the competition.. the SLS is great but.. well its a Mercedes. Like a Grandpa sports car. It looks like a Mercedes. Get a car with some balls. Plenty of Italian cars that are fast and works of art for the same price. Austin Martins are way classy if that's your thing and not as common. Mazeratis have made a comeback and they're well within your range. Lotus makes a lot of cars that handle nicely and get up and go. I don't know how much the Lambo Aventador is going for but its sweet.. get something that fits you.
