hey, im want to get a sporty looking car, it doesn't necessarily have to be really fast for anything. and i dont have that much money to spend. can you guys tell me some sporty cars that are on the cheeper side?

Answer
dude it depends what year, and what your def of cheap means. If your talking 4k, an early to mid 90s stang. I think their shetty lookin though. I like the new style of stangs or years 1999-2004, more bulky and aggressive looking. If your talking 5-6k. You maybe could land a gt of the 99 mustang. However, a trans am would work...............Now if your talking 2-3k cheap, it gets hard. Chrysler sebrings are not sporty, they are okay converts though. Oh, for 2-3k you could go with a early 90s camaro, probably an R.S.

Now with the RS you are getting a v6, unless they threw a 350 in there. A 1991-1992 camaro are aggressive looking, esp. with hood scoops. The inside of them are very basic. Very basic. However, nowadays just do what I do, throw in a flip out cd/dvd player. You can always mess with things. If you are thinking about a lebaron GTC, I will just slap you now! Just b/c it says GT doesn't mean it's sporty. They are a crappy car. Atleast with a sebring you get a little luxury. If buying a sebring, don't go higher than a 2000. In 2001 they introduced the 2.7 engine. A very crappy and expensive engine. My mother has a 2004, and at 80k the motor went. Stay with a 2.5 L engine.

Let's recap cheap:

Upper cheap 5-6k: Mid 90s trans am, 90s mustang gt, different year camaros. Even an eclipse.
Lower cheap( couple grand ): Camaro( like early 90s better ), an old firebird.
Not sporty, but it's a car that has leather and the top comes down: 1998-2000 Sebring convertible.

Personally, if money was an issue, the early 90s camaro. Yes it's an RS V6, but it's not bad. Maybe even with t-tops. Or I would go with the sebring vert. Don't get a girly color. I'd go silver on black leather, black on black leather,ect....

If you have 5k- trans am. They have a corvette engine. T-tops. Also, more HP than a mustang gt in the 90s. It will cost less to buy than a mustang gt. Also, it has double dual exhaust. Most owners put magna flows or flowmasters on the trans am. Things to watch for on trans ams.....some leak oil b/c the amount of pressure that is put on the car. Also if the car was hot-rodded, rod bearings, piston rings can be issues.

how much do i need to make to be happy and comfortable in los angeles?

I don't need to live in beverly hills, but no ghetto either
I enjoy kiteboarding, surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking
I like going to get a bite to eat at a small shop or coffee shop often, I will drive a regular car, most likely fuel efficient like a toyota prius, i don't need a big apartment because i am single, I like attending sports games and stuff, I like working out lots.

please and thank you so much!

Answer
Hi. do you want a car that just looks sporty, or a car that is a real sports car ? If you want a real sports car with perfect driving dynamics, then the Porsche CaymanS with manual transmission is the way to go, if you love a precise feeling, perfectly balanced machine with world class motor, brakes, transmission, sports car interior, chassis, etc. (and no gimmicks). The new 370Z is nice but the CaymanS kicks the hell out of it in driving dynamics, and I like to heel and toe myself thank you. BTW, the CaymanS also smokes the 370Z, not that straight line performance is the most important factor. So if price in not much of a factor, go for the CaymanS (about $60K). BTW, the RX-8 was also and excellent choice, especially with the manual transmission, the automatic is much slower, and a true sports car should not be an auto ! Why was the RX-8 ruled out ? It does use a lot of fuel (more than a Mustang GT), but it's a great sports car. Also,
the new NSX is coming out soon, the S2000 is a very nice sports car also, and the 911 is always great but closer to $80k with options.

What is the price for a used 2005 Scion tc?

raco

I have $10k and I wanna get a used 2005 Scion tc. Is that possible? Or should I get some other kind of cool sport car that costs at most $10k? Thanks.

Answer
Too broad...
Low mileage (15K-40K mls)...about $12-15k
Under $10k is possible but should have high mileage about 60-80k mls...
You could get Honda S2000 with about 12k...
Check your local listings...
