Does it cost alot to maintain older sport cars?

HI! i will be buying a first car soon, i want something either powerful or new and nice, latest models cost a bit alot, so older sportcars are the answer for me i think.
i was looking into like toyota supra if i come by one, or a 3000gt.
but how much does it cost to maintain them? like if something brakes down can i go to the car shop and have it fixed? or they dont carry parts for them so its going to be hard and expensive?

Neither one of those are sports cars and they are very expensive and difficult to maintain and repair as parts are hard to come by and are expensive.

If you want a real older sports car that is cost effective, get a 87-93 Ford Mustang GT. Stock they have 225 hp and 275 ft/lbs of torque. You can get a clean one for about $5000. Spend about $3000 in upgrades and you will have an $8000 car that makes over 300hp and 325 ft/lbs of torque that will destroy any of the other two cars. It is also much cheaper and easier to repair and maintain a Stang. No vehicle ever made has more performance parts support than the Mustang, It is also cheaper to get power out of the Mustang than the other cars you mentioned.

What's a good sports car ranging from 07 to 11. I was looking at a Toyota aurion but they don't sell it in the u.s. so what's a good sports car that's nice and has horsepower.its going to be my first car so anywhere up to 18 -25k about. I am also looking for a 4 door sedan look

"sports car" and "sedan" are mutually exclusive terms despite Nissan's marketing claims over the years calling the Maxima a "four door sports car"

Sport sedan? Lots of options in your price range - Subaru WRX comes to mind. Keep in mind anything that's fast will cost a lot to insure, since you said this is your first car you need to take that into consideration, a young driver will spend a lot more to insure a WRX or Lancer Evolution than a Corolla or Focus or something like that. Get quotes before you buy.

What's your favorite kind of car? I'm looking to upgrade my car, I'm 17. I can spend at the most around $7,000. So far I like RX8's. I need ideas on what to buy. Most things don't matter but I do need a 4 seater. Let me know! Thanks!

A TRUE Sports Car would be a 2-seater, usually with a removable top. Anything with 4 seats would be a sports coupe or sports sedan.

My favorite Sports Car has always been the Chevy Corvette, but those are a bit out of your price range, and even if you could find one, the cost of insurance for a 17 year old driver would kill you..

There's lots of nice, used cars out there for around $7000. I'd suggest you get away from your computer and spend some time checking out the local used car lots to see what's out there.

You want a cheap sports car? You're better off looking for conversion kits. You won't find a Lambo type car for the price range you're looking for. Not unless you find a junker that will cost more to fix than the car is worth.

I've seen people change a Fiaro into a Ferrari. Of course the change was cosmetic, but there is a lot you can do to change the guts of your car. Research kits for different car types and then look at what parts on the kit car that can be upgraded to make the car put out some serious horsepower.

You will find that that speed is very achievable with many cars that can be kitted. Look at tuner cars. An early nineties model Civic can be upgraded to go over 140MPH.

To answer your question, good luck on finding that exotic sports car for the price you're willing to pay.....unless you want a junked out servicable Porche. Many people sell those things for lower end prices.
