Cheap "exotic" sports car?

[daniel]

So Lamborghinis are cool. We all know this. But I'm a poor little white boy, and I was wondering, what cool NON-MAINSTREAM (this means you, Mustang) sports cars are there, that don't cost the deed to my house and 12 years of slave labor?*

In other words, under $100,000

Answer
If I had $100,000 to spend, these are some of the cars I would consider:

Acura NSX (Used)

Ariel Atom

Aston Martin Vantage (Used)

Audi R8 (Used)

Audi RS4

Audi S5

Bentley Continental GT (Used)

BMW M3

BMW M5

BMW M6

Caterham Seven

Chevrolet Corvette

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Dodge Viper

Ferrari 360 Modena (Used)

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Jaguar XK/XKR

Lotus Elise

Lotus Exige

Maserati GranTurismo (Used)

Mercedes-Benz CL Class

Mercedes-Benz SL Class

Nissan GT-R

Porsche 911 Carrera

Porsche 911 Turbo (Used)

Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (Replica)

Shelby Cobra 427 (Replica)

For the most part, all of these can be purchased with low miles for under $100,000.

I would also consider some of my favorite muscle cars and classics.

what us the best sports car?

Answer
It depends on what you mean by "best", and to a lesser degree what you mean by "sports car". I'm assuming street-legal production cars.

Fastest? It's hard to keep track, but it's probably one of the Italian supercars like Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Best handling? It's partly a matter of taste and what kind of driving you do. Ariel or Lotus are contenders.

Most comfortable? Bentley GT is my vote.

Most fun? I think the Austin Healy Sprite is one of the most fun-to-drive cars ever built. It's not fast, and it's not luxurious, but dang, it's fun.

Most fun and currently being built? That might be a tossup between the Subaru Impreza WRX in STi tuning, or the MINI Cooper S. I have one of the latter, and a buddy has the former, and while you might argue that they're technically not sports cars, and therefore lack a certain "cool" factor, they are both TONS 'O FUN.

Which used cars should I avoid buying as a young teenager?

BugattiVey

No, I'm not the same person posting this same question. I'm doing this just so that everyone can answer quickly. I have to go to sleep now because I have school tomorrow, so answer this question and then I'll take a took at them by tomorrow.

Here are the top 10 used cars to avoid. Avoid and do not fall in love with used cars that is unreliable to use, high fuel consumption, and high maintenance. You can buy one of these cars in a real cheap price but you may end up spend more on gas, maintenance, and pay a lot for labor. Therefore, choose properly before you made your decision to buy any new or used cars.

10. Used cars without a certificate
There are a lot of used cars that will not pass smog, but that's only for people who only know a little bit about cars, not for those who sell cars for a living.

9. Brand new cars
Avoid any 2012 or a 2013 vehicle because you might pay the right value plus tax to purchase the car, and then sell at at a very high or very low price. It would be better to buy a lightweight, Japanese family car made in the early 90's, since they're more reliable than a newer one.

8. Vehicles 25 years or older that have been driven at extremely high miles
A vintage or antique vehicle that is driven everyday with extremely high miles should be avoided.

7. Exotic or fast cars
There are some Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsche, Corvettes, and other cute sports cars always garaged and covered by personal collector, and driven while the weather is clear. These cars may not meet emission and safety standards and should be avoided, with the exception of older Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

6. Avoid a Smart car because it is too small and ugly

5. Avoid race cars
Stock cars, Formula 1 cars, and Go-karts aren't legal for driving on the roads, even if it's legally modified to do so. These cars still have trouble passing emission and safety standards as well.

4. Police cars, taxi cabs, fleet cars, buses, etc.
Police cars, taxi cabs, fleet cars, buses, or some cars that you know it has been heavily used and been driven for long hours over thousands of miles. It is not worth to take the risk to buy these cars although the price may be very attractive.

3. Avoid used commercial cars
Commercial cars, trucks, and minibus that have been driven a lot everyday need to be avoid. This is because these cars are usually driven by people who do not own them and they will not care the car.

2. Uber-low-price fake cars
Never ever buy a used, clean, pretty car (often a new or exotic car) that's unbelievably priced too low. These owners want you to email them instead of call. Well, what happens if you try email him/her? They'll email back to you and tell you thanks for being interested in their car, and the shipping process to Canada or Latin America will take about 3-4 days. But still, the car will never be shipped over there, so it's a scam.

1. Avoid Hummers
These trucks are even worse on gas than the Bugatti Veyron, Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne, Chevy Suburban, and the Ford Econoline. No Hummers in our house, please! Thank you!

This truck should be avoided: http://i48.tinypic.com/2lv0it4.jpg

Last, but NOT least... avoid cheap, small and ugly cars that were imported to the U.S. or Canada from another country by non-professional, such as a Daewoo, a Ford Festiva, a Ford Ka, a Peugeot 106, an AMC Pacer, and the Geo Metro:

If you want a really small and slow car, then go for a Fiat 500 or a Mini Cooper, not a Smart car or other slow, small and ugly cars!

Answer
The price of gas is high, but that car...you just...can't...get it...out of...your head! THE MADNESS! If visions of your own ride are just too overpowering, take a peek at your bank account before looking at available cars. Gas. Insurance. Maintenance. Cleaning. And oh, those fender benders⦠Texting while driving is just way expensive. Before stepping foot on a dealer's lot, make absolutely sure that you know exactly how much you can pay for a car, whether your parents will help you with the purchase (and by how much), when and where you'll be able to drive the car and who will pay for gas, insurance, repairs and maintenance. Whenever a young buyer doesn't know the absolute max they can spend, a car salesman gets his wings... and too much of that buyerâs cash. Being fuzzy on your real budget gives the seller the opportunity to jack up the price, hoping that you'll reach deeper into your pockets. They are sharks. You are salmon. Get the picture.
