DO NOT buy a used luxury car . I've made this mistake before .its a total waste of money. I bought a 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago for $220k with a broken gearbox , messed up breaks and a spoiled ESP controller . it cost me $280K at the end to fork over it .replaced a dual clutch gearbox and the front breaks and fixed the ESP. of course it works well now . but its not worth the money . I still have to pay $80000 . and its due to November. see ? its not fun to spend on the toy of a rich kid.
If you don't have enough , go for a new but cheaper one . you won't regret it .


Everyone says no . maybe I've made a stupid purchase ? Idk . I love driving my car but the amount of money I have spent on it is driving me crazy.

Luxury cars and sports cars?

Why is it that luxury cars like Bentlys, Maseratis, and Aston Martins have far better interiors then sports cars like Lambos, Ferraris, and porsches? Sports cars are so uncomfortable and have such crappy interiors. I just really don't think it is worth sacrificing all the awesome things you get in a Bentley just to "Fast" in a Porsche. I just don't understand what you pay for when buying an expensive sports car, it seems stupid to me. What do you think?

There are different factors that goes into the comfort levels of these cars.

You said the answer. LUXURY cars are LUXURIOUS, a.k.a. comfortable as hell. Meant for comfortable trips.

Sports cars are meant to be sporty. They are made very aerodynamic, built just for speed/handling. The seats are usually very light, as not to add a lot of weight to the car. I don't know if you've ever driven a REAL sports car, but I know when I do, I'm not even THINKING about comfort.

Luxury cars are usually very expensive automobiles. They come with all the latest bells and whistles.. They can be sport cars or larger family cars. Imported autos, or American made. These luxury autos are made for speed if a sport car, and comfort if a large car. People have different tastes and some prefer to have one of each if they can afford it.. Most people looking for a luxury car, look for appearance, design, easy handling, easy access in and out of the car, and comfortable seats. Some will want a vehicle that will accomodate several people comfortably and one that will be smooth riding on long trips. Gas millage isn't usally the best on a luxury car, so this is a minus. But with all the other pluses, most people interested, will overlook that.

Are repairs on Lexus or other luxury cars more expensive then American made cars?

My mother is trying to decide which SUV to buy. She is wondering if repairs and parts (wipers, brakes, etc.) on cars such as Lexus, Acura, Volvo, and Audi are more expensive then repairs and parts on American made cars such as the Buick Enclave.

It's not so much American vs. Foreign.....it's luxury vs. non-luxury.

If you're asking if cars like Cadillacs, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc., are more expensive to repair than Ford, Chevy, Hyundai and Kia.....the answer is yes.

A Buick Enclave is somewhere in between.

Basically, just look at the pricetag of the car and expect parts and repairs to be proportionally expensive. The more expensive the car, the more expensive the parts and repair, regardless of what country it's made in.
