sports cars around 25k image

I love working on cars. And I also love high end exotics like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus(LFA), etc.
What kind of jobs give good pay or atleast enough in the automotive field to afford a exotic plus a decent life. I mean I don't want to drive a Ferrari and live under a bridge.
I know how to fix basic things on cars(I'm a freshman in highschool) and I love upkeeping/detailing cars. I'll eventually learn the bigger things like engine repair, transmission rebuild, collision repair etc.
I mean can owning a dealership that sells around 6-10 cars a month with $500-2000 profit make around $100k or more a year? I live for cars and just don't have the mindset of being a doctor or something. I can't spend a day without seeing atleast 1 car of any sort. Picture form or in person.
Answer
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the guys that drive exotics aren't in the automotive field. They are investment bankers, sports stars, CEOs or celebrities.
The math just doesn't work. First, owning a car dealership involves several hundred thousand dollars (minimum) start-up capital - and that's cash (you need to borrow more than that). Guessing you don't have that. Also, when you say $2000 profit on a car (which is a reasonable assumption), you're forgetting you've got to pay overheard on the dealership, staff and just everyday expenses. You'd go bankrupt in a hurry at 10 cars a month with $2000 profit each. More like 10 cars per day........but there is still that problem of rounding up a few hundred thousand in cash in upfront capital, plus having the credit for loans for the rest of it. Even assuming you had your own dealership, while it can provide a good life, it still won't be Ferrari good.
For a $250K exotic (which is on the low end for your list - maybe a Lambo Gallardo, but that's about it), you better have income of at least half a mil a year. Same ratio as a guy making $50K buying a "regular" $25K car. There is no job in the auto industry short of CEO or other top exec that provides that kind of coin. You'll need to set your sites higher.
Good luck!
